A New Beginning?
Well, it's been a minute since I've posted here. I have decided to embark on a new project, which hopefully I don't bail on after nine months, as is my wont. I am trying to broaden my musical horizons, both in terms of breadth and depth of appreciation. Although I would describe myself as having somewhat eclectic taste (I am likely one of the only people in the planet who would list both Slayer and Portishead among my ten favorite bands), I have never been one to listen to full albums. I tend to pick out a handful of songs from a given artist, and wear them out until I am completely sick of them. There are also entire eras of extremely influential music I know almost zero about- 1960's rock being a prime example. Therefore, I have decided to issue the following challenge to myself: Listen to each of the albums included in the Top 100 Greatest Albums of All Time list published by Rolling Stone (the 2020 edition - and yes, I'm aware that the entire list is 500 Albums
